About Us
Stim Factory’s Core Beliefs
1. We get it. As a parent or caregiver, you know your disabled or special needs loved one better than anyone, and we think that's pretty amazing.
2. We think the assistive tech that currently exists is bulky, ugly, and doesn't fit us individually.
3. We want the disabled or special needs person you care for to have whatever assistive device that they need, minus the ugly coldness and the back-breaking debt.
That is why we created...

Assistive tech, Beautifully designed, Cheap as hell.
What started as a direct result of a beef between our visionary co-founder Joie Thompson and some dweeb from Youtube named Asa Maas has now become a huge deal. More significant than anyone here ever imagined it could be. And we're excited to share that with you.
Our company was created with the belief that everyone should have access to the resources and support they need to provide the best care for their loved ones, regardless of budget. We understand that caring for a disabled or special needs individual can be a rewarding but challenging experience. We want to help make it easier by offering high-quality, customizable products tailored to specific needs and designed for easy setup and use. We believe that focusing on these things can make a positive difference in the lives of caregivers and their loved ones.
We created a Virtual Maker's space specifically for the disability community because we were tired of seeing good people pay too much for products they either didn't need or were overpriced for their intended purpose. By focusing on the disability community, however, we've made this a truly welcoming space to all walks of life, not unlike wheelchair ramps. Made for a specific demographic but accessible to everyone.
At Stim Factory, you can connect with other families of special needs individuals and create personalized products. This includes home decor that inspires and empowers, as well as assistive technologies that bypass the high prices of larger tech companies. Our resources and service bundles are more affordable and cost-effective than other assistive tech companies. You can choose to be as hands-on or off as you want; we believe this empowers you to make the best choices for you or your loved ones.
What about the Normies?
Our company primarily serves the disability community, but all individuals are welcome to use our platform. We offer a variety of learning materials, resources, and community support, as well as services, subscriptions, and products for purchase. You'll have the added benefit of knowing that you're supporting not only the Stim Factory development team, but that you're supporting a community of passionate individuals, parents, and caregivers tied into the disability community.
That's what we believe...That's what we promise. For us, By us, Forever.
What is a Virtual Maker's Space?
A Maker's Space is where people with shared interests, especially in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), can gather to work on projects while sharing ideas, equipment, and knowledge. Most maker spaces are publicly accessible through grants and only exist in educational settings: schools, colleges, and even some libraries.
At Stim Factory, we kind of look at that as a sort of exclusive club. So, we made our own more inclusive club, slapped some robots together that will do our every bidding, and made it so that anyone at home who owns their own robots can join our club. By making this cooperative space virtual, we don't have to worry about things like factory space, which leaves more room to pay people what their actual value is worth.
With that in mind, we set out to make friends with a bunch of other makers that own their own robots, which, in return, sort of creates this network of mad scientists working from home, creating and delivering products and providing their skills to our online marketplace. Think of it as that work-from-home job you've only dreamed about.
So what is it that you DO here?
At Stim Factory, we love making stuff. Like, all kinds of stuff. Whatever you can dream up, we can help you bring it to life. We've got a bunch of machines, and we even use a print-on-demand service to help us out until we get even more machines. And the best part? We're super affordable and flexible. So go ahead, let your creativity run wild. We've got you covered.
Stim Factory has over 271 intellectual properties unique to it that we hope we can file within the next five years. Supporting Stim Factory at these early stages of the game is crucial to our success. So, we decided that by making the Virtual Maker's Space an integral part of our operational structure, we'll never lose that "garage start-up" feel. So, everything you buy from us helps pay those patent attorney fees, R & D, and Joie's favorite part: destroying stuff up in the name of science!
Sounds terrific....so why can't I order anything?
That's a great question. You can't order yet, because of legal reasons. Back in 2020, when we officially organized, we filed as an LLC. This last month, we dissolved that LLC and have refiled it as a C-Corp. We legally cannot accept sales until we receive our new EIN, Corporation Filings, and our sales permit from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue.
We did this because we want all disabled folks coming through our ranks to be treated fairly and professionally. Being re-classed as a C-Corp was a better fit for our new operating structure because we can now offer ESOPs (Employee Stock Ownership Plans) that allows us to be Employee Owned and Operated forever. So not only will our employees earn a living wage here ($75,000 is the standard salary), but they can exit and buy back into their ESOP at any time.
We apologize for the immediate inconvenience. We promise we will be worth the wait. Meanwhile, you can sign up to receive our newsletter, which will be chock-full of updates and exclusive deals!
